Interceptor System

The Volvo Penta Interceptor System is a boat trim system designed for vessels 35 feet and larger that makes driving easier and more comfortable. It works with the Electronic Vessel Control system to keep your boat at the best trim angle, which helps reduce fuel use and emissions while improving handling. The interceptors are made from materials that don’t corrode and need almost no maintenance—there’s no galvanic corrosion and no protective anodes to replace. In Auto mode, the system helps your boat get on plane quickly and stay more level during sharp turns, giving you better visibility and control. You can choose manual control or pick from three automatic modes: Auto Trim and List corrects your boat’s trim and lean automatically, Auto Trim List and Coordinated Turn adjusts lean during turns based on your boat model, and Active Ride Control uses sensors and digital controls to reduce up-and-down and side-to-side movement at cruising speeds for boats up to 100 feet or more.
